A young Israeli athlete achieved global success at the Abu Dhabi jujitsu championships.

Lia Shalo, a 17-year-old Israeli jujitsu athlete, won two gold medals at the World Youth Championships held in Abu Dhabi, in the under-63 kg weight category, and achieved remarkable success. Shalo said that this victory was the culmination of months of training, and that hearing the Israeli national anthem was a moving moment and a source of great national pride.
