🔻While, with the announcement by Hossein Abdiy, the head coach of the Under-23 national team should have the invited players report to the final camp for the Nagoya Asian Games tonight, Iranian media have reported that only two players have gone to the camp; Sahl Sabahi from Gol Gohar and Masoud Mohabi from Khyber.
🔹At the same time, the schedule of the Under-23 team’s camp conflicts with the fixtures of the Persian Gulf Pro League and the competitions of Iran’s representatives in the AFC Champions League Elite, leading to objections from coaches of title contenders in the Persian Gulf Pro League—specifically Tractor, Esteghlal, and Persepolis—about their players being present with the Under-23 team.
🔹On the other hand, Maziar Zare, the coach of Malavan, has also expressed dissatisfaction with the coincidence of the Under-23 team’s matches with the Persian Gulf Pro League fixtures.
🔹Earlier, Ahmad Danayimaly, the Minister of Sport, had said that Esteghlal and Tractor agreed to have their players join the Under-23 team.
🔹Danayimaly also said today: “We have created conditions in which the club would provide its players to the Under-23 team. A club that does not hand over its player has regulations at the federation level and an action will be taken. For us, the national team is more important than everything else.”
