🔶 Women’s Revolutionary Council announced its existence
The Women’s Revolutionary Council, in a statement announcing its existence, wrote that it was formed to enable women to achieve their “real and decisive share of political power,” and that it wants to take women’s role in politics, media, and Iran’s future out of a marginal position.
In the council’s statement of existence, it says the institution was formed on the basis of feminist principles and the values of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement.
The council says its goal is to create a space for thinking together, coordination, representation, coalition-building, and discourse-making so that women’s share and role in determining Iran’s political future are strengthened.
Based on this statement, the Women’s Revolutionary Council has a democratic and inclusive structure and wants to draw on the knowledge and experience of women specialists in different fields.
