1,000 residents evacuated from violent Spanish wildfire

More than 1,000 people have been evacuated as a wildfire burns through Spain’s eastern Valencia region.

The blaze near Segorbe was sparked by lightning before spreading rapidly as winds changed, forcing residents of nearby Gatova to flee their homes. Firefighters, military emergency crews and aircraft are battling the flames.
