🔺 17 billion dollars in debt by the oil company to the National Development Fund

▪ The head of the board of trustees of the National Development Fund said that the debt of the National Iranian Oil Company to this fund is 17 billion dollars and that this debt has no connection to the case of oil trusts.

▪ Trusts are intermediary companies that the Islamic Republic has entrusted with circumventing sanctions, selling oil, and returning the foreign exchange to them. Part of this currency was never returned to the country, and its file is now in the judiciary.

▪ Estimates of the amount of foreign exchange that has not been returned vary widely. The head of the General Inspection Organization recently reported 94 billion euros in unresolved currency commitments in the hands of the trusts.

▪ Tehran’s prosecutor general last week announced the setoff of 1,673 billion tomans worth of assets belonging to the trusts.
