🔺6.3 billion dollars in turnover for a cryptocurrency exchange sanctioned by the United States
▪The cryptocurrency exchange “Şelebit,” which the United States sanctioned on Friday, moved more than $6.3 billion between Ordibehesht 1403 and Farvardin 1405, including funds for the IRGC and Hamas. Bloomberg cited this figure, according to blockchain analytics company TRM Labs.
▪Based on this report, the wallets of this exchange effectively held no balances. The money that came in was almost immediately withdrawn, and the inflows and outflows matched with a difference of less than one-tenth of a percent.
▪About 88% of its activity—equivalent to $5.56 billion—took place on the Tron network and was carried out almost entirely with dollar stablecoins. The average value of each transaction was about $54,500.
