A group of doctors faced an extremely rare and terrifying case: a 23-week fetus (about six months) had developed a dangerous tumor that was close to stopping its heart.

Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, a Nigerian-born surgeon, and his team performed an unbelievable feat: they temporarily removed the fetus from the womb, removed the tumor, and returned it back to the womb!

The pregnancy continued, and the baby was born completely healthy at around 36 weeks (nine months).
