A member of the Labor Group of the Supreme Labor Council said the cost of living that was estimated at about 43 million tomans in the previous Dey has now risen to more than 80 million tomans, and on that basis he announced the initial approval by the Ministry of Labor for holding Wage Committee meetings.

Mohsen Bagheri, in an interview with ISNA News Agency, said the Ministry of Labor has finally shown flexibility in response to the demands of the working community.

Baqeri emphasized the need for the urgent updating of the household cost basket and said that under current conditions “the resilience of the workforce has a limit,” and the continuation of the production cycle depends on “the dignified life of the workers.”

The issue of wage review was raised at the Sunday session, 1 Shahrivar, of the Supreme Labor Council.
