🔺Amini Ejei threatened protesters with harsher action
▪Following the escalation of the economic crisis and the U.S. dollar reaching the threshold of 210,000 tomans, the head of the judiciary of the Islamic Republic said this institution is, for punishing “elements who want to disrupt the country’s security,” more decisive than ever.
▪This threat comes after government bodies predicted the emergence of public protests.
▪Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei added that strengthening security and confronting anti-security elements are among the issues that the public and officials agree on.
▪This approach has been intensified by a written message from Mojtaba Khamenei during Government Week. In that message, Khamenei stated: “I declare firmly that committing anything that is harmful to social cohesion is prohibited.”
