A U.S. naval blockade of Iran’s ports has halted the country’s crude oil exports from Khark Island for at least a week.
The Financial Times reports that, based on shipping data and satellite images, no oil tanker has loaded crude oil on Khark Island—Iran’s most important oil export terminal—since 30 July 2026 (9 Mordad 1405). All three of the island’s oil terminals have also remained empty for a long period.
