Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, after the first meeting of the Shanghai summit leaders in Kyrgyzstan, said: “One of the issues raised was the agreement of Islamabad. The United States has violated it and must return to its commitments. After that, we can get out of this situation and everything can be put on the right path.”

In recent days, Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the government of the Islamic Republic, had also, on several occasions, called for the United States to return to the Islamabad agreement.
