Abbas Heydarsadeh, a eulogist/reciter, citing Ahmad Marvi, the custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi, says that on the night of the burial of the second leader of the Islamic Republic, Mojtaba Khamenei, he was present at the shrine from midnight until 7 a.m. and, physically and in appearance, was “completely healthy,” and when speaking he also had no problem.

According to this account, Ahmad Marvi, a number of officials of the Islamic Republic, other attendees, and the sons of Ali Khamenei led the congregational prayer, with Mojtaba Khamenei as the imam. Heydarsadeh also says that Mojtaba Khamenei sat on his knees beside his father’s grave for about half an hour and cried.

Since Mojtaba Khamenei was chosen as the leader of the Islamic Republic, his public presence has not been reported and no new picture of him has been released. Islamic Republic officials have even refused to release his voice as well, claiming the possibility that his location could be revealed.
