Al Monitor, citing regional officials, reported that Saudi Arabia has asked Ali al-Zaydi, the Iraqi prime minister, to detain and punish leaders of militia groups supported by the Islamic Republic who played a role in attacks on Saudi Arabia.

The report said: “Riyadh has called for holding leaders accountable who issued orders for attacks on Saudi Arabia—not only the forces that carried out those attacks.”
