The Israeli army said four Hamas elite force commanders were killed in a Tuesday airstrike on Gaza City.
According to the Israeli army, the four were commanders of Hamas’s Beit Lahia Battalion and had a role in carrying out attacks against Israeli forces. One of them also took part in the October 7 attack and in entering Israel.
The Israeli army said the activities of these commanders posed a threat to its forces and that they were killed in the airstrike with the aim of “removing the threat.”
Palestinian media reported that the attack on a café near the port of Gaza City left six dead, including a child, and 14 wounded, including an elderly woman.
