Amir Giti, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, said mutual distrust between the Islamic Republic, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and Western countries, along with disagreements among decision-making bodies within Iran, has put the Agency inspectors’ access to nuclear facilities in the face of ambiguity and complexity.

He also said the Islamic Republic is concerned that the information of the Agency inspectors could be shared with the United States and Israel, but this argument is more an attempt to use the Agency’s inspections as leverage in possible future negotiations than it is based on technical grounds.
