An entity known as “Persian Gulf Waterway Management” claimed in a statement that vessels that violate the Islamic Republic’s arrangements for transiting the Strait of Hormuz will face fines, detention, or seizure in subsequent transits.

The entity, while admitting that some vessels in recent days did not comply with the restrictions set by the Islamic Republic, published in its statement a list of ships it described as “offenders.”

The entity known as Persian Gulf Waterway Management warned that vessels that, from this date, cooperate in ship-to-ship transfers or other methods with the vessels on this list will themselves be added to the list.

The entity, which is backed by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, said that cargo owners to or from the Persian Gulf must, before chartering a vessel, review the updated list of offender ships.
