🔶 عراقچی: نقض تفاهم از سوی آمریکا تنش در هرمز را تشدید کرد
Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s foreign minister, said in a telephone conversation with his Austrian counterpart that the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz is the result of the “unlawful aggression” of the United States and Israel against Iran.
Araqchi, on Friday, 23 Mordad, in this call, explained the latest status of Iran and Oman’s talks to establish mechanisms for managing the future of the Strait of Hormuz.
He added that the Islamic Republic entered the diplomatic process with “goodwill,” and that an understanding to end the war was signed on 28 Khordad.
The foreign minister of Iran said that the American side, by violating the provisions of this understanding, was the main factor in the escalation of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Araqchi went on to say that the United States, by imposing maritime sanctions on Iran and carrying out widespread attacks on military and civilian targets, has paved the way for making the Strait of Hormuz unsafe.
In another part of the talks, Araqchi condemned Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon.
He described the position of the European Union and the support of some European countries for Israel as factors behind the continued killing of Palestinians.
The foreign minister of Iran also called the European Union’s positions against the Islamic Republic “interventionist.”
