As the security atmosphere intensifies in the wake of the gasoline and livelihood crisis and fears of a new round of protests, reports and messages received by Iran International indicate that military training courses are being held for employees, supporters of the Islamic Republic, affiliates of state institutions, and children.

According to these reports, Tehran Municipality, under the chairmanship of Iraj Zakani, has put on its agenda training in working with a combat weapon for staff of the 22 districts, and for this purpose, some employees have been transferred by bus to parks and Chitgar Forest.

At the same time, programs for training in working with weapons are being carried out in mosques and public places. Based on these accounts, these courses are being held while the security environment in the country has simultaneously been tightened.

Some audiences of Iran International consider these trainings to be a sign that the government is preparing to confront possible protests.
