🔶 Baqayi: New U.S. economic sanctions are an announcement of war against all governments

The U.S. government has increased pressure on its allies to participate in the “economic war” declared against Iran. Tehran officials consider this move a violation of international law principles.

Ismail Baqayi, the spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Saturday, 31 Mordad (22 August), on the social media platform X that the imposition of new sanctions is an example of “the exercise of American extraterritorial sovereignty over all independent member states of the United Nations.”

He emphasized that banks, companies, and airports that operate under the laws of their own countries should not be forced by other countries to refrain from lawful trade with a third country.
