🔸British Treasury Minister John Healey backed the United States’ efforts to achieve a diplomatic solution regarding Iran, as well as increased pressure on the Islamic Republic.

🔸Healey said that London, while supporting the U.S. efforts to reach a diplomatic solution on Iran, welcomes steps aimed at increasing pressure on Tehran, including expanded sanctions against the country that were announced on Monday.

🔸He also urged Iran to end its “destabilizing activities” throughout the region, including in the Strait of Hormuz.

🔸On Monday, the U.S. Treasury Secretary announced broad and comprehensive economic measures against the Islamic Republic of Iran under the title “Economic Expulsion Operation,” which, according to Scott Bessent, is intended to “cut off all of Iran’s vital economic arteries,” “until Tehran is completely left alone.”
