◾ The U.S. Energy Minister said that data shows control of the Strait of Hormuz is in America’s hands, not the Islamic Republic’s, and that the world does not need Iran’s oil. Chris Wright added that this government’s oil exports are currently zero, while the U.S. Army removes eight to 9 million barrels of oil from the region every day.

◾ In an interview with Fox News, he said: “Is it America that controls what happens there or Iran? The data on this is completely clear. It’s America.”

◾ Wright called the halt in oil exports from the Islamic Republic “part of America’s economic choking.” He also said that commercial tracking companies count traffic as less than it really is.
