🔸The deputy for investment of the National Development Fund announced on Friday that the government’s debt and Iran National Oil Company’s debt to this fund has reached $127 billion.

🔸Reza Mohammadi, in an interview with Tasnim News Agency, also reported that the National Development Fund’s investment plan in oil fields to settle this fund’s claims has not been implemented.

🔸He said that carrying out this plan in the government of Ebrahim Raisi was agreed upon in the form of a “memorandum of understanding,” but the plan has not yet been finalized and operationalized.

🔸Mohammadi, regarding the amount of debt to the fund, explained: “Today, we have more than $110 billion in claims from the government and more than $17 billion from the National Iranian Oil Company.” He called for using the “capacities in the oil sector” to settle these claims.

🔸These remarks come while the head of the National Development Fund had said in the first half of Mordad that Iran National Oil Company would not be able to repay its debt of nearly $17 billion to this fund from the revenues of the Al-Ajib field, because development of the field has been slowed due to bureaucratic delays and administrative obstacles.
