Donald Trump, the President of the United States, after the implementation of 50% tariffs on Canadian goods, once again lashed out at this country.

On Sunday, he wrote on Truth Social: “Canada wants the benefits of being a state, without being a state!!! They’ve been taking huge amounts in tariffs from our big farmers for years. That’s enough!!!”

U.S.-Canada trade negotiations collapsed at the last moment on Saturday, and new 50% tariffs on hundreds of categories of Canadian goods worth about $20 billion were implemented.

Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, pledged to retaliate “dollar for dollar” and announced that his country would stop the talks and recall its negotiating team.
