The “East Asia Forum” website wrote in an analysis that the 2026 war between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States may create the conditions for the revival of missile cooperation between Tehran and Pyongyang; although, to date, there has been no evidence of North Korea’s direct participation in rebuilding the Islamic Republic’s missile capabilities.

The analysis says that after the war, the Islamic Republic is looking to rebuild its missile arsenal, and North Korea, by leveraging technical support from Russia and its experience in employing its missiles in the war in Ukraine, now has greater ability to transfer technology.

According to this report, Tehran may be particularly interested in technologies such as maneuverable warheads, air-defense deception systems, and improving missile accuracy; areas that North Korea has been working on in recent years.
