Financial Times:
Iran, in the event of an escalation of war by Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has put on its agenda the consideration of options to attack U.S. military targets in Europe.
Details of this report include the following:
1. Bulgaria: Reports indicate that Iranian forces have been assessing the possibility of targeting U.S. assets and military facilities in countries in southeastern Europe, including Bulgaria.
2. Cyprus: Cyprus has also been among the possible targets for retaliation in the event of another U.S. attack. In March, a drone targeted a British airbase on the island.
3. Fiber-optic cables in the Strait of Hormuz: Other reports also suggest that Iranian forces, if tensions intensify, have been considering the possibility of attacking undersea fiber-optic cables in the Strait of Hormuz.
