In the wake of protests by Iranian people and the reaction of Mahsa Jina Amini’s family to the insulting remarks by Ahmad Ariaynazhad, a representative of Malayer in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, he backed down by posting a video of his statements.

Previously, Ahmad Ariaynazhad had described the government killing of Mahsa Jina Amini in a debate in the newspaper “Hamshahri” as “reaching oblivion.”

The publication of these remarks was met with protests from Iranian people and reactions from Mahsa Jina Amini’s parents.

The parents of Jina, by sharing joint posts, wrote: “May your tongue be cut off for having put a whole country to death and for having not even a sliver of shame—neither from reason and wisdom.”

“Mojgan Eftekhari,” Mahsa Jina Amini’s mother, also, in a separate story on the social media platform Instagram, shared images of her child, who was killed.
