🔺Russia Targets Izmail Port; Ukraine’s Biggest Attack with More Than 800 Drones

▪Russian attacks the previous evening targeted port infrastructure in the Izmail area in Odesa in southern Ukraine. Ukrainian officials said this on Monday and added that fires caused by the attack were brought under control.

▪Izmail is near the border with Romania and is Ukraine’s largest port on the Danube River, which handles grain and other goods.

▪The Russian Ministry of Defense said its forces hit military targets at this port, but Reuters wrote that it was unable to verify the ministry’s claims.

▪At the same time, Russia said it had shot down 822 Ukrainian drones on Sunday evening, which appears to be one of the largest air attacks by Ukraine during the war.
