🔸Following the closure of Iran-Iraq border crossings and the publication of images showing crowds of passengers and heavy vehicles at these routes, the Iraqi government announced on Sunday, 22 Shahrivar, that it will reopen these crossings in phases.
🔸After a drone attack, which Saudi officials said was carried out from Iraqi territory, Saudi Arabia temporarily shut its East-to-West pipeline. This pipeline is one of Saudi Arabia’s most important routes for exporting oil without passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
🔸Following the occurrence of this attack, the Iraqi government on Friday of last week ordered the Shalamcheh border crossing to be closed with Iran.
🔸Baghdad has also removed the military commander responsible for operations in Maysan province and announced the start of a large-scale operation to identify and detain those behind the attacks.
🔸After the release of this news, videos were also published showing congestion and disorder at other border crossings in the country, including the border with Turkey at Bazargan.
