Fox News Digital reported that a confidential document from the Russian government shows that Moscow has drawn up an extensive plan for deepening cooperation with the Islamic Republic in the financial, nuclear, energy, aviation, and transportation fields for the years 2024 to 2026.
The plan includes creating alternative financial channels, increasing the use of national currencies, nuclear cooperation, oil and gas projects, reviewing the production of parts for Russian aircraft in Iran, and continuing Rosatom’s activities at the Bushehr power plant.
The document also discusses a proposal to build a railway line from Iran’s border with Azerbaijan to ports on the Persian Gulf.
Fox News wrote that the document was prepared in September 2024, and it is unclear which projects remain active or what changes the current war has made to Moscow’s plans.
