French President Emmanuel Macron described Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s trip to France as an “important step” in relations between Paris and Riyadh.
Macron said that France and Saudi Arabia have always worked toward peace and stability in the face of regional challenges, and will continue their consultations in this regard.
He added that the cooperation between the two countries is also based on major projects, advanced technologies, investment, and international events. Macron said the two countries have achieved many results so far and can expand their cooperation even further.
The visit takes place as war and military tensions continue in the Middle East, and Saudi Arabia seeks to broaden its relations and cooperation with regional and extra-regional actors. Alongside efforts to strengthen ties with regional countries, Riyadh is also pursuing its political, economic, and security cooperation with powers including the United States and European countries.
