Hosein Aqayi, a member of the editorial team of Iran International, said that the Islamic Republic has used the most hardline military and security figures to manage wartime conditions and strengthen preparedness for a potential confrontation with the United States and Israel, following the appointment of new military commanders by Mojtaba Khamenei.

He added that the timing of these appointments with the order to merge the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters is aimed at unifying command and increasing coordination between the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the army.
