Hosein Salarian, Deputy Prosecutor in Ardabil, announced the closure of three cafés in this city and the detention of 16 people due to what was stated as not observing “Islamic values and propriety” and other violations.

Salarian said on Tuesday that setting up gambling, “breaking norms,” “promoting corruption,” and not observing “Islamic propriety” were among the violations announced for these units.

The website Hengaw reported that the restaurant-café “Bol” in Tehran’s Vanak neighborhood was sealed off by the relevant authorities. According to Hengaw, so far, no details about the reason for this action by officials have been provided.
