🔻In an Israeli attack on southern Lebanon, seven people were killed and several were injured

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that an Israeli attack on southern Lebanon in the first hours of Saturday led to the deaths of seven people.

This is the highest number of deaths since the June agreements. The agreements had led to a reduction in clashes between Israel and Hezbollah.

According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, “the attack that the enemy’s fighters carried out on a house” in the outskirts of the village of Ansar resulted in the deaths of these seven people and injured three others. The attack also caused the complete destruction of the house.

Lebanon’s National News Agency also said that Israeli forces blew up houses in the city of Bint Jbeil near the border.

The agreement between Israel and Lebanon includes disarmament of Hezbollah, the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, and the deployment of the Lebanese army in this area.

Na’im Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, accused Lebanese officials yesterday of pressuring the country’s armed forces by implementing this agreement.

He said: “How can you accept this ongoing humiliation of the Lebanese army and expose it to Israeli bombardment and pressures, instead of treating it as its protectors?”
