In recent days, videos have been released showing dire sanitary conditions and a shortage of essential facilities in hospitals in the Sistan and Baluchestan province.

In the videos that were published, one of the patients’ attendants says that they took a patient with a head injury to the hospital in Chabahar, but because the CT scan machine was out of order, they had to transfer him to Konarak. Due to “not having an ambulance,” the patient was transferred to Konarak after about 6 hours and then, following the CT scan, was sent back to Chabahar again. He says that at the time of the patient’s referral to the hospital, the patient’s level of consciousness was 10, and after returning from Konarak, it had dropped to 3.

At the same time, another video showing unsanitary conditions at the Mohammad Rasulallah Hospital in Nikshahr was released. In reports by local sources, it is said that “cockroaches and mice” were also seen in this hospital.

Another video from the Amir al-Mu’minin Hospital in the city of Zabol was also published, indicating that this hospital is also not in a suitable condition to provide services to patients.
