Informed sources say the family of “Mohammadreza Aahangar,” a young man who, if he hadn’t been killed in the protests on 18 Dey, would have blown out the candle for his 21st birthday on 15 Mordad, have faced harassment by security institutions in order to hold a birthday ceremony at his grave.

A source close to Mohammadreza Aahangar’s family says: “The family wanted to hold his birthday ceremony at his grave, but they were not even allowed to place seats for their guests, and the entire ceremony was held while standing at his grave. So that it would end quickly.”

Mohammadreza Aahangar was killed on 18 Dey 1404 during popular protests in Ayatollah Kashani Street (Second Sadigheh Square) by a direct bullet shot to the head by government forces.
