🔻Iran’s judiciary, in response to the recent statements by Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister, about the possibility of a “security gap” in the country, has asked him to explain himself on the matter.

Asghar Jahangir, the spokesperson for Iran’s judiciary, raised the request in an interview with the website “Iran Watcher.”

About three weeks ago, Araghchi said in an interview that the “bombing of the residence of the Leader” and the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of Iran’s military and political commanders were probably carried out “through a security gap” that was aware of all the sessions from the first day of the 40-day war.

In response to a question about the claim, Mr. Jahangir said: “First, he should be asked where he knows that from, and if he has information in this regard, it is necessary to provide it to the intelligence, security, and judicial authorities. Anyone, whether a high-ranking official or an ordinary citizen, who has information, must provide it to the judiciary, and it is the duty of the judiciary to pursue it.”
