🔻Son of Iran’s former intelligence minister: During two wars, he was targeted for assassination four times

Mohammadreza Va’ezi, the son of the former intelligence minister who was killed in the 40-day war, says he was targeted for assassination four times during the two recent wars.

He says he learned of his father’s death from foreign media, but before that, on the morning of 27 Esfand, he had been asked to go from Qom to Behesht-e Zahra in Tehran.

Ismail Khatib was killed in an attack, along with his wife and daughter.

The former intelligence minister’s son says the force of the explosion was so great that many of the members of these three people were “separated from one another using DNA testing.”

The son of Ismail Khatib says that in the 12-day war, his family had “no connection with him and no news—even through intermediaries—was conveyed.”
