🔻Iranian media reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein over the recent attack on the Kurdistan Regional Government prime minister’s office.

The Iran newspaper, an organ of the government, wrote that Mr. Araqchi emphasized that “there is no information indicating that these attacks were launched from within Iranian territory.”

According to this report, Fuad Hussein called the attack a “dangerous precedent,” warning about its “implications for the security of Iraq and the region.”

This morning, the Kurdistan Regional Government prime minister confirmed a drone attack on his office and blamed Iran for carrying it out.

Masrour Barzani wrote in a post on X: “Information and investigations by the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Counter-Terrorism Office confirm that my personal office and the residence of the head of the Parastin Organization (the Kurdistan intelligence agency) were targeted by Iranian drone attacks today.”
