🔻Iraq’s Kurdistan regional prime minister confirmed a drone attack on his office and blamed Iran for carrying it out.
Masrour Barzani wrote in a post on the X network: “The information and investigations of the Counter-Terrorism Directorate of Iraqi Kurdistan confirm that my personal office and the residence of the head of the Parastin organization (the Kurdistan region’s intelligence apparatus) were today targeted by Iranian drone attacks.”
Mr. Barzani described these attacks as “unacceptable hostile acts” and condemned them “in the strongest possible way.”
In a statement by Mr. Barzani, it is stated that these attacks are a “dangerous escalation of tensions” and a “direct threat” to security and stability in the region.
Previously, local media in Iraqi Kurdistan, citing the Counter-Terrorism Directorate of the region, reported that no one had been killed or injured in these attacks.
Based on the statement from this directorate, in this attack “two explosive drones, Hadeed 110, were fired from across the border with Iran.”
