🔶 IRGC claim about armed clash in Zahedan: two attackers killed
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement in which it released further details about an armed attack on the morning of Friday, the 27th of Shahrivar in Zahedan. In the statement, it said that "IRGC Ground Forces’ Quds Force units, while patrolling in the vicinity of University Street in Zahedan, noticed a suspicious passenger vehicle".
According to the IRGC statement, "after that, an armed clash took place between the occupants of the passenger vehicle and the Quds Force units, and during the clash two of the armed individuals were killed".
In the same statement, the IRGC also announced that during the clash, one person was detained.
Earlier, Hengaw reported that at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, near University Street and around Student Street in the city of Zahedan, there was continuous gunfire for about two hours.
According to that report, during this attack, the occupants targeted a Peugeot 405 vehicle. Hengaw, citing informed sources, had said that during the clash, "an armed person, three military forces, and two passersby women" were injured.
