The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had shot down the American MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Strait of Hormuz.

Based on an IRGC statement, the air defense of this force tracked “an American long-range MQ-9 drone,” after which the drone crashed in the Persian Gulf.

The U.S. Army has not confirmed the claim.

The claim is being raised as the two sides have resumed their reciprocal attacks after nearly a month of relative calm.
