🔺Oil prices jump as tensions resume
▪After U.S. forces targeted two Islamic Republic of Iran launchers on Larak Island, oil prices rose and Asian stock markets fell.
▪In the first hours of trading on Monday, Brent futures contracts increased by one and a half percent to $89.46 per barrel, and West Texas Intermediate crude rose by 1.4 percent to $84.60.
▪The increase came after CENTCOM confirmed that U.S. forces struck the two launchers that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was preparing on Larak Island to fire mine-carrying rocket missiles into the Strait of Hormuz.
▪The Sunday attack was the first publicly acknowledged U.S. attack on Islamic Republic positions since late Tir month.
