Javad Safarz, a retired teacher and one of the detainees of the protests of Dey, has been sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of 32 million tomans. His wife, Fatemeh Safarz, has also been sentenced to two years and seven months in prison and is out of prison with an electronic ankle monitor.
