Karen Gibson, the former intelligence director at the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), told Fox News on Tuesday that, contrary to some claims that a deal is close, in her view the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States still have a “long way” to go in their negotiations.

In response to a question from the program host asking whether the negotiations have reached a deadlock, she said it appears that way. She pointed to Iran’s demands, including “the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region,” and said the regime knows that the United States will not comply with these requests.
