Lebanon’s army announced that, during several operations in three cities, four people were arrested on charges of arms and drug smuggling and possession of ammunition and hand grenades.
According to Lebanon’s army, in one of these operations, one person was arrested for allegedly forming a network to smuggle war weapons and create clashes. The investigation continues to arrest other members of this network.
In another operation, army forces raided the homes of people who were under surveillance on charges of smuggling drugs and seized a quantity of drugs and equipment used to make them.
Two people were also arrested at a checkpoint for possession of hashish, weapons, and war ammunition. In a separate operation as well, one person was arrested for possession of hand grenades, and the grenades were seized.
