Leila Mahdavi, the mother of Siavash Mahmoudi, one of those killed in the 2021 protests, and coinciding with the anniversary of Mahsa Amini’s death, published a video, honoring her son and the other victims and wrote: “Neither has my pain lessened, nor has my grief been eased. I stand firm because I do not want the name of my child and none of the children who lost their lives in the streets to be forgotten.”
