Local sources in Afghanistan’s Baghlan province report the outbreak of fighting between Taliban government forces and armed opponents of the group in the Andrab valley.
Local sources in Andrab confirmed to media outlets that armed opponents of the Taliban, after an armed battle, managed to take control of a Taliban outpost following an attack on the outpost.
According to news sources, the armed men first launched an attack using rockets, and then the clash between the two sides continued for some time. After the assault on the outpost, the armed men took a number of weapons and military equipment belonging to Taliban forces as loot.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for this attack. Taliban officials have also, so far, not issued any reaction to the incident.
