Majtaba Yousefi, a member of the Parliament’s Roads and Urban Development Commission, said: “An increase in oil prices can be a deterrent factor against the dishonest and treaty-breaking United States, but unfortunately some statements by officials of the government and even the foreign minister at critical moments and important junctures lead to a drop in oil prices.”
The representative from Ahvaz said: “Today, the oil price rate is a determining factor and our upper hand in the axis of resistance, and we can use this capacity to put pressure on Western economies and on the United States.
Yousefi, about the Islamabad agreement, said: “When America has withdrawn from the deal and broken its promises, staying in the agreement is neither diplomatic with dignity nor sensible; this issue brings us back to the JCPOA.”
