Marad Vaisi, senior analyst at Iran International, said: "The market is one of the most political players in Iran. The market has a very keen sense. With its understanding of the intensification of confrontation between the Islamic Republic and the United States, as well as the likelihood of war, the cutoff of oil exports, and the reduction of foreign-currency earnings, the market reacted to political developments earlier than others and increased the dollar’s price. With the ever-growing tensions and the rising demand for currency, it seems that the dollar will not stop at the 200,000 toman mark and, in practice, there is no ceiling for its price increase."
