Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, accused China of financing Iran’s government in its war against the United States and said that Beijing simultaneously hacks vital U.S. infrastructure and weakens the country.

Haley, referring to the planned meeting between Donald Trump, president of the United States, and Xi Jinping, president of China, next month, said: “When Trump meets with Xi, he will adopt a friendly approach and will say that China is a good actor. Meanwhile, China provides financial support to the Iranian government in the war against us.”

She added: “We need to be clear about communist China; they are not our friends and they must be held accountable.”

The remarks were made while, according to another post shared by Haley, new court documents point to the extensive operations of hackers linked to China and their infiltration into sensitive U.S. networks.
